Authority II

I went searching for information on authority, because it interests me, and I believe it's very important to have a proper understanding of it at this time, in this world we live in.  Everything is in chaos. Laws are enacted that we, as Catholics and Christians, cannot abide by. Those that are supposed to be in positions of authority  are questionable.  What are we supposed to do?  Is there anyone in charge?

Authority and Identity

Do you know who you are and who you answer to?   This will be very important in the times to come.  Most important. If you are living the fruits of shame and lacking in a strong identity rooted in Christ chances are you answer to many people, too many. 

Holiness

A little counsel I received from the Lord regarding this often misunderstood virtue:

"Did you know that you do not make yourself holy?  I make you holy, based on your acceptance of my invitations in your life.  Your openness to my actions, your allowing Me to take up residence in your heart.  This creates holiness.  On your own, it is impossible to be truly holy.  Good actions are rooted in pleasing self first.  True holiness is Me acting through you for the greater glory of God.  All true holiness originates from Me.  This is why humility and obedience are "keys" to holiness.  These keys allow me to enter and take up residence in your heart.  When I call a soul to holiness, these are the first keys given.  They "unlock" a prideful heart.  The heart can only be unlocked from the inside-by you."
