Counsel

We are always asked to seek counsel from Jesus in all of our dealings with others.  Given the difficult climate we are all living in, there can be many obstacles to overcome that require that unique wisdom available to us in Jesus.  We just have to ask.  I was journaling on the following verse in June of this year.  This counsel did have something to do with a particular individual that I was feeling very intimidated by given their seemingly fragile and wounded exterior, but coming up against a very powerful inner darkness.  It also refers to my tendencies in the past to be a fixer. 

1Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you might announce the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

My daughter, my love.  The truth is a  powerful weapon against evil.  You were called out of the darkness of lies, shame, and sin into the light of truth.  I have called you to share this light with others who are living in darkness.  You are discovering that it is not always pleasurable-not soothing and mild to the senses.  To confront evil, to penetrate darkness- a certain violence must be used- not physical violence, but a shaking of the complacency that sets in when one is living in darkness.  To one who is always in darkness, light can be shocking and offensive.  You were taught to never upset anyone.  You were taught to ignore truth to keep a false peace-this is the source of your confusion-you cannot mix darkness and light.  They are incompatible.  Darkness cannot "announce the praises of him who called you out of darkness"....


I need your cooperation child....many souls are at stake.  If you are announcing my praises, I will defend you-all of heaven will defend you.  If you are fighting for my cause, the salvation of a soul, I will be fighting with you.  Child, this is war.  Battle.  It cannot always be done painlessly and cleanly-perfectly.  There will be casualties.  Feelings will be hurt-especially when one lives in darkness and shame.  I can use that however, to gain entrance to a soul.  To constantly protect one from truth is only creating more darkness.  You have lived this-you now know the damage that occurs when you falsely build up one in darkness-you make the darkness more powerful.  To add falseness to the darkness creates a very powerful stronghold. (This refers to my "people pleasing" tendencies and desire to keep people taken care of and happy, regardless.)


This world is so full of sin and darkness!  If you could only see!  I need to be present to my people.  My people need to hear the truth!  I never commanded timidness-this is the work of the devil.  He knows full well that timidness, cowardice and false toleration of sin in the name of "love" cannot penetrate his hold.  So many are being deceived-so many!  Even my priests!  There can be no relationship between darkness and light.  No compromise.  You must choose your side now and use every means I have given you to fortify yourselves, strengthen yourselves- in LIGHT AND TRUTH.  Do not "make nice" with darkness, you will be drawn in and find yourself lost.  Be strong child-cling to me-we will fight together-you and I.  Let us claim many souls for the glory of the Father!  Be steadfast-always stay in me.  I love you and need you.  Please do not back away from me, do not hide yourself, do not cower- be strong!  Jesus
